Chicago Bears Review

Orton is looking for the prospects of starting job

Kyle Orton, the quarter back of the Chicago Bears has signed a contract of extending his availability in the team to 2009. Though he was busy with the preparations for his marriage, he went to the Halas Hall and had a talk about competing with Rex Gross man for the starting job. Orton said that Rex and he is sharing a very good relationship with each other and is expecting tough competition from him. Orton has performed well in the last three games in 2007 and is a good candidate for the starting job of Chicago Bears.

Orton feels that with this extension, he has brighter chances of winning the No. 1 position and is excited about playing with the able teammates. Orton was picked from the Purdue in 2005 in the fourth round and he is thankful to Rusty Jones, the strength and conditioning coordinator of Chicago Bears for molding him into the best of his health. Orton signed his extension because he wanted to remain with the Chicago bears for one more year rather than becoming a free agent. Moreover, he feels more comfortable in Chicago and has wide fan following. So, he wants to become a great player in Chicago.
