Free agent wide receiver Brandon Lloyd signs for the Bears
The wide receiver Brendon Lloyd is thrilled that he has signed to play for the Bears for a year as he will get an opportunity to work with Ron Turner, Bears offensive coordinator. Ron was the head coach of the University of Illinois when Lloyd started his football career and he feels that Ron is fully aware of his capabilities as a player. His five NFL seasons have so far yielded 1,889 yards, 13 touchdowns and 130 passes. He has played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2003 to 2005 and for the Washington Redskins from 2006 to 2007. He had a poor run last season and it ended with a break in his collar bone during practice.
Ron Turner acknowledged the fact that Brendon is a playmaker and is pretty well aware of the productiveness of the player. Ron said that he and the Bears receiving coach watched all the videos of Brendon and signed him as a free agent after assessing his game. Lloyd who has shown some behavioral problems in the NFL has said that he would be working hard to gain the respect of the coaches, players as well as the management. He knows pretty well that he can be properly guided by Coach Ron and can lean on him for support at times of adversities.
