Chicago Bears Review

Cedric Benson arrested for boating under the influence of alcohol

The running back of the Chicago Bears team Cedric Benson was arrested late on Saturday night near Austin in Texas and was charged for boating under intoxication and for resisting arrest. Both these acts are a crime as per the US law and police had to use pepper spray to arrest him as he refused to co-operate with the police. Benson was found to be operating a 30 foot long boat on Lake Travis with 15 members on board.

The spokesperson from the Sheriff’s Department in Travis said that Benson was let off on Sunday morning on a bond of $14,500.  The Bears coach Lovie Smith seemed fairly upset with the incident involving Benson and said that the players are very clearly advised on how to conduct themselves off-field during their trainings and inductions. Benson who has a track record of getting arrested should have to work hard in order to receive good reviews both in his personal as well as football career.
