Bears’ passing offense still lack power
John Clayton from ESPN recently commented that there are teams that failed to improve their strategies this off season and he has listed the Chicago Bears as one of them. He said that the Bears’ inability to buck up and improve their passing offense can lead to their eventual downfall. For one, their offense dropped to 29th place during the previous NFL season. The Bears did not see this as a threat when clearly they should have used more funds to obtain better defense. Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton had their contracts renewed at a mere $3 million while Brian Griese was sold off to Tampa Bay. The Bears should have also picked Brian Brohm or Chad Henne as trusty quarterbacks instead of halfback Matt Forte.
