Field Dissed
Soldier Field got in trouble this week when a players’ survey came out about which fields in the league are the best. Among grass fields, the Chicago field was named the 5th worst in the NFL. Arizona and Tampa Bay were among the best in the league. It’s too bad, because the field is always one of the fun ones to watch games on. If it’s raining, it gets a little soupy and slippery. Perhaps that’s what the players don’t like. No one is quite sure who to blame this on either. Is it a problem caused by the grounds crew? People seem to appreciate the grounds crew’s work. But who else could be responsible for it? It’s hard to tell, but there will probably be some changes next season.
