Chicago Bears Review

Grossman is Gone

Rex Grossman never really got along with Chicago. He was never the kind of quarterback that you felt you could trust. He kept blowing big games, including the biggest, and people really got tired of it. But, like the Chicago Tribune says, we should be aware that the management made him seem much worse. Whenever Rex was ready, there was no competition, even when it seemed clear that someone like Orton was clicking with the team better than Rex. He never seemed quite as good as they were trying to sell him to us, and he kind of made it look worse sometimes, by not really reacting to his performance, pro or con. Plus he was injured for such a long time that people didn’t feel that he was dependable. It’s not completely his fault, but now he’s gone and may be Tony Romo’s backup next year?
