Chicago Bears Review

Again, eh?

If the Bears were aiming to get Terrell Owens, they certainly have done a good job of pretending that they weren’t. If the Bears were aiming to make some moves this offseason, they’ve done a great job of acting like they were trying to keep an old team together. Now this weekend is an example. The Bears could have reached in and gotten Owens for their team. What did Owens get in his one-year contract? $6.5 million. For someone who runs more than 1,000 yards each year, this is a tiny salary. The Bears also paid much more than that for Tommy Harris last year. Couldn’t the Bears have gotten him for just a short time, so that he could do his running and then leave before he gets to be a meanie? Anyway, someone decided that the money was worth more spent somewhere else. Perhaps on the players that weren’t able to get it done this year?
