Chicago Bears Review

Draft Day

For the 2009 Draft the Bears acquired Oklahoma’s Juaquin Iglesias in the third round, Abilene Christian’s Johnny Knox in the fifth round, and Pittsburgh’s Derek Kinder in the seventh round. The Bears were going to pick Iglesias with their 49th pick in the second round but decided to trade down and acquire an extra fourth round selection. Iglesias is six foot one inch and 210 pounds, the Bears say he is an excellent route runner who has size, quickness, and good hands. He also has the run after the catch ability and is expected to start in his rookie year.
