Safeties
Now that we’ve covered most of the positions for next year, we still need to discuss the safeties. They had some trouble at the end of last year, because there really aren’t any who have shown their abilities or their blocking quite yet. Hopefully, we’ll be able to get that done at some point this year, but it’s hard to imagine which player will take the lead. There are plenty of possibilities, and quite a few of them have been able to make good plays every once in awhile. But the safeties are such a specialized position, with the need to rush forwards sometimes and sometimes the need to drop back and cover. They will have to find out if Israel Idonije is able to really do his thing as some people are hoping. We’ll be watching for him especially to step up and get those opposing receivers.
